Chadwick- Spencer -
Chadwick finds talking about himself in the third person unsettling, so he let Nora write his bio. Chadwick developed his love of the outdoors during his journey to become an Eagle Scout in Columbus, GA. His desire to be outside bloomed into a love of slightly terrifying sports such as paragliding, ice climbing, mountain biking, and whitewater kayaking to name a few. He is also an avid road biker but Nora is not sure if this is because he thinks he looks good in white spandex onesies or if it's because he likes how his legs feel when he shaves them. Chadwick has lived all over the US and traveled all over the world. Ask him to tell you about some of his experiences sometime but make sure you have plenty of free time because when he says “long story longer” he means it.
Nora- Laitinen -
Nora finds talking about herself in the third person weird. She loves cuddling with her dogs while drinking a glass of wine and reading a really crappy science fiction novel. She loves the outdoors and has stories about kayaking, canyoneering, skiing, motorcycling, and biking. If you want to hear the stories just ask her, they are usually colorful and involve almost zero graceful moments. Her parents started her off at a young age traveling and she has kept up that habit throughout her life and hopes to do more!
OUR
STORY
Our First Date
Chadwick and Nora met at Bowl for dinner and wine. The first date turned in to hours of conversation about each other's exploits and travels. They found common interests kayaking, cycling, photography and international travel. The night ended with a kiss.
Our First Mountain Biking Date
Nora borrowed one of Chadwick's bikes to follow him on a "beginner trail" and earned a permanent scar from landing upside down in a bush. Her mountain biking has marginally improved but she remains dubious of Chadwick's trail rating system. Chadwick still maintains that it is a beginner trail.
First Trip Together
Nora and Chadwick went on a mountain biking trip to the McKenzie River Trail in Oregon. Nora still feels deceived to this day in that it was a shuttle run with the most peddling she has ever done on a on a mountain bike. Though it was beautiful, and she enjoyed the time, she learned to check the elevation profiles for future trips.
Bought a House
Nora and Chadwick decided that they wanted access to more than one bathroom, so they bought a fixer-upper and embarked on the journey of remodeling. This fun challenge is leading the happy couple to question each other's tastes in tile and cabinets, improve their communication so that they know for sure the correct circuit breaker is off, and live in Nora’s mom’s basement. Though neither one likes wallpaper so that’s nice.
He Proposes
Chadwick proposed to Nora. He was worried that he was proposing a bit early in the relationship but thankfully she said yes.
AND NOW... WE ARE GETTING MARRIED
